If you’re inspired by what you see on he court, there is even a fitness centre, free for the guests to use. A double room with a private bathroom starts from $264 a night. We may be getting a bit pricey, but you can book without the ‘fear of the unknown’.

For a fantastic hotel without the major pricetag – you should book a room at the Arlo on East 31^st street (see map below). Madison Square Garden is only a 10 minute walk away and you can get a Queen Room with a fantastic city skyline view for $300. For the price, you get a rather spacious room with all the creature comforts of a 4 star hotel. Take advantage of the free gym and business area, or take a drink at their skybar and look out at the whole of Manhattan. The treats continue the next morning, with breakfast being something you’ll be looking forward to all night!
