Georgia Dome Tickets

The Georgia Dome, home of the Atlanta Falcons and site of two Super Bowls, the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games, SEC Football Championship, the Chick-fil-A Bowl, the Bank of America Atlanta Football Classic, Monster Truck, Supercross, NCAA Men’s and Women’s Final Four tournaments, band competitions and much more.  Some facts of the Georgia Dome include that it’s the largest cable-supported domed stadium in the world. It contains a total of 8,300 tons of reinforced steel which was used to construct the Dome, more than the weight of iron and steel used in the Eiffel Tower.

It has a 437-mile sidewalk, from Atlanta to Cincinnati, could be built from the 110,000 cubic yards of concrete used at the Dome. The building covers 8.9 acres and contains 1.6 million square feet on all seven levels. The 290-foot high roof is composed of 130 Teflon-coated fiberglass panels covering 8.6 acres. The roof’s supporting cable totals 11.1 miles and the Dome is as tall as a 27-story building. There are 203 executive suites and 4,600 club seats. The Dome’s permanent seating capacity is 71,029. The Dome has three times the code-required number of restrooms. All are accessible to guests with disabilities. A pair of C-5 military transport planes could fit on the Georgia Dome’s floor, which contains 102,000 square feet of prime exhibition space. There are 798 lighting fixtures in the roof structure provide lighting. The four, 1,250-ton air conditioning units in the Georgia Dome generate enough power to cool 1,666 homes. To supply soft drinks to hundreds of dispensers, 32,952 feet of liquid lines wind through the stadium. In addition to the annual SEC Championship, Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl and list of other impressive events, the Georgia Dome hosted Super Bowl XXVIII in 1994, Super Bowl XXXIV in 2000, the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games and the 2002 Men’s NCAA Final Four.

The Falcons have an observatory deck. Here the Falcons have a bird’s eye view of the stadium from the Observatory Deck, where coaches, coordinators and officials see all the action, over 200 feet above the field and the highest seats in the Dome. The Georgia Dome is on its last leg. Fans will only have two more seasons to enjoy the dome before the new stadium takes its place. And while the new stadium will be an excellent place for an NFL game, the Georgia Dome is no slouch, because it features great food, solid atmosphere and quality football. So the Georgia Dome could be one of the more underrated places to watch an NFL game.
