Atlanta scalpers get 90% of the tickets they sell from ticket reselling companies that don’t sell all of their tickets to a game. About two or three hours before the game the ticket reselling company will give all the rest of their tickets to their street guy. Unless it’s expected to be a sellout, absolutely never pay face value or higher for scalped tickets in Atlanta. Shop around and take your time. Unless you are seeing a near sellout or playoff game, always offer 50% of the face value and then negotiate from there.

Scalpers are generally friendly, but there are some that try to scam people seeking to scalp tickets. They’re all over the general area near Turner Field. Scalping tickets are usually cheaper than actually buying them through the box office or online.
