Turner on game days is a somewhat safe area. The surrounding area is very urban and has a higher rate of crime than anywhere else in Atlanta. There are always police officers around especially on game days, but there have been instances of fans being mugged or attacked (rare cases).

Safety is somewhat a concern around the stadium since there is a lot of crime and a growing homeless population but as long as you stay in a group you should be fine. There are also a lot of police officers monitoring this.
