The CAMRA Good Beer Guide is a great list of reliable watering holes with genuinely top quality drinks on tap. The Dove Inn makes that list, and is conveniently located for a few pre-match tipples! It’s a five minute walk and both home and away fans are welcome, so there will be almighty banter! Barnsley East Dene Club and the Metro Dome are good alternatives, with the Metro Dome literally right behind the stadium!

There are a lot of pubs around the train station – which are perfect for away fans. In the town center there are ‘The Court House’ and the ‘Joseph Bramah’. Both reliable choices – the Bramah is particularly popular as it is a Wetherspoons pub, as always offering cheap food and cheaper beer. Perfect.

Nearer the ground are ‘The Hollywell’ and ‘The Outpost’ offering a chance for both home and away fans to mix and enjoy good hearted banter before kickoff.
