No more tickets available for a high-quality football match against Bayern Munich or Dortmund? Try out the ‘Hertha BSC Ticketbörse‘ where people holding a season ticket will offer their seats as they cannot attend the game. You will pay the same price, but maybe you can join in on a great game which, technically, is sold out. Look up the keywords on the Internet, it is 100% legal and authorized by the club.

Hertha are one of the many teams that operate a cashless system inside the stadium. If you want to buy any drinks or refreshments, you will have to obtain a cashless card from the ticket box or stands around the stadium – before topping it up with at least €5. Although this is a pain, it does reduce queues at the kiosks with no one fumbling around with loose change!

Due to the running track, the isolated location and the notorious Berlin winter, the Olympiastadion can get very, very cold. The whole stadium is below ground level and there are no concourses to huddle under so when the wind blows through the Marathontor, you’ll feel it around your ears. Wrap up warm and buy a glühwein or even better, head to the Ostkurve and jump around with the ultras – they might not be wearing shirts whatever the weather!
