Good idea to do some research – the ‘home’ pubs (i.e. most of them) do not welcome away fans and you’d do well to steer well clear of them if you’re a visitor. Away fans are welcomes with proverbially open arms at The Cricketer’s Arms. It’s perfect for days where the British weather imitates a less rainy country, as there are loads of tables outside where you can not only drink, but also develop great banter with your fellow supporters!

Most of the pubs around St Andrews can be pretty hostile for away fans and it’s certainly not a great idea to go drinking with away colors on. There is a nice pub that welcomes both home and a small amount of away supporters – The Cricketers Arms – it is a small pub though so be sure to get there early if you want a table.

It’s not a pub as such but the hotel bar at the Hotel Ibis near the ground is also away friendly. However your best bet is to drink in the city and then take a £6 taxi to the ground itself. Try the Anchor or Wellington pubs if you fancy CAMRA awarded real ales!
