Bristol is one of those wonderful cities where the best thing to do if you have a day, an afternoon or just the evening, is to explore. There are areas (Gloucester Road, Harbourside) which specialise in the best quality ales, ciders and delicious food. Infamous Banksy artwork decorates swathes of the city and the views, architecture and local culture are enrapturing. The most famous sight is probably the Clifton Suspension Bridge, which is a couple miles’ walk from the city, and is truly spectacular.

Bristol became a main city in the first place because of the strength of its waterways and its still a great way to see the city. Bristol ferry boats operate 364 days out of the year and you can hop on and off as you explore Bristol itself.

Get to the Coronation Tap for a grand selection of incredible ciders – the exhibition cider is deadly, only sold here and is a right of passage for all visitors to Bristol. The SS Great Britain is an incredible sight to see, as well as the country famous Clifton Bridge.
