The East Lancashire Derby – maybe avoid that particular game. It’s a rivalry of towns, more than just football clubs, and extends back many decades. With that rivalry comes a serious animosity between the fans which has been known to escalate beyond profane language and insults to serious violence. If you’re looking for fun afternoon – especially with your children – then pick another match, and leave this one to the veteran fans who know what they’re getting themselves in for.
