Best restaurants near Cardiff City Stadium?
1 answer
Since the stadium is situated a mile or two out of town, the best option is to travel back in for your dinner! Once you’re in, there’s no shortage of choice. Casanova is a little-known beauty just two minutes away: it does exceptionally tasty, authentic Italian/Mediterranean food at a fair price.
For the gluttonous out there (myself included) there’s always Madame Fromage: often described as “cheese heaven”, it’s a French delicatessen which is drowning in delicious cheese and meats.

Cardiff is a thriving city and really is a melting pot of different cultures and cuisines so really the only thing you are limited by is your own imagination!
If you want something homely and simple, you can get some classic ‘pub grub’ at The Yard Bar and Kitchen on St Mary Street which always proves popular – otherwise head to arguably the best Fish and Chip shop in Cardiff – Dorothy’s!
For something a little bit more Mediterranean try La Tasca for some fantastic Spanish tapas, Giovanni’s at 38 The Hays for some heart-warming Italian or Le Monde for some great steak and seafood – seriously, you can’t go wrong with ‘surf and turf’.
