The Moto GP world isn’t as luxurious as many of the F1 races and events that go on around the world – but that doesn’t mean there isn’t some great food on offer! There are many stalls and kiosks around the track all serving some tempting food – the smell of the grill will catch your attention! From Hamburgers and Bratwursts to Pizza and Kebabs – there is something here to suit anyone’s appetite.

A motor sports event brings a huge number of people to the race track. Therefore, the hosts offer a great variety of different food stands during the events. Last year my favorite place to go to was a food truck called “Jim Beef” offering delicious burgers. Prices are definitely higher than in normal stadiums in Germany, but not too bad. Of course, there are other options, too, like “Bratwurst”, Currywurst or little snacks like pretzels as well as softdrinks and beer.

The Sachsenring really comes into it’s own in the catering department. The beer flows and the grilling is non-stop, from the Friday night welcome BBQ to the big race day on Sunday. This area is one of the cheaper parts of Germany, but expect to pay a premium for food as you are a captive audience. For foreign visitors it might still end up on the cheaper side, compared to other tracks around Europe.
