The question of where to watch the action from, is one that puzzles many people, with different grandstands offering different experiences. Even if you have a ticket for a specific grandstand, a great tip is to move around the circuit and drink it all in.

The Start/Finish Straight is mostly occupied by the T1 large Grandstand – with a lot of the action and the camera moments happening here, a weekend pass will cost you around €200!

If you are a keen photographer, there are few places better than the T7 and T8! You will be able to see the bikes swing round corners at crazy speeds, getting so low down they are almost touching the track! Tickets again for the weekend are around the €200 mark.

Prices are generally pretty expensive if you want to have good seating and enjoy the entire weekend of a MotoGP event. A single day ticket for the stances is 40€ for the practice race, 67€ for qualifying and 97€ for the actual race in 2017. 3-day pass is 122€ which is the commonly used option as you should be attending the whole weekend to experience the overall fun and the after-parties. Average price for the other stands are 150€ (race only) and 170€ (3 days) respectively. I recommend stands T2, T13 “Sternquell”, T15 “besico” to see the drivers at full speed and thrilling maneuvering.

Huge grandstands give an unrivalled view of the action all along the Sachsenring. It can get a little crowded – literally hundreds of thousands attend the Sunday of the German MotoGP – but everywhere is a good vantage point so that needn’t be worried about. Tickets for the whole weekend are around €200, give or take, while Sunday only tickets can be picked up for a little less. If you’re coming all the way, though, make the most of it and experience the whole weekend.
