Experience another Chicago tradition just outside of Soldier Field: Chicago Dogs. Yup, that’s right, a hot dog. Before and after game time, hot dog vendors sit right outside the stadium and are ready to draw you in. Chicago Dogs are a unique eating experience to say the least, but you have to try one at some point of your visit. They offer them inside the stadium as well, but it is much more expensive and looks too pristine to be a Chicago Dog. You’ll see what I mean once you get one from the street vendors.

Do Dress Appropriately: Soldier Field seating may provide fans with great sight-lines, but it’s not unheard of for fans to find their seats covered in ice. With kickoff temperatures sometimes dipping below 10 degrees in the Winter, you’ll want to dress in heavy layers when you visit this historic Chicago attraction in the Near South Side.

Don’t be like me and come to the game unprepared.  Soldier Field is a great place to watch a football game but its one of the coldest experiences I have ever had in my life.  Kickoff temperatures sometimes are well below 20 degrees in the Winter and as a result you need to bring more clothing and take it off rather than not enough.  I mean bring gloves, scarves, earmuffs, and even a blanket.  The only drawback of all this stuff is that things such as beer and condiments from food spill on it from time to time.
