Things to check out around Signal Iduna Park (Westfalenstadion)?

Get off the Metro one station before the Stadium and you will find yourself right at the ‘Westfalenpark‘. A beautiful park area with Dortmund’s emblem, the so-called ‘Florianturm‘. A 219 meters high TV tower that can be visited and will give you stunning views over the entire city. Also check out the ‘Borusseum‘, a museum about the club’s history right next to the stadium. Finally, the Dortmund Zoo is only 2km from the stadium, a great place to go with your kids.

Why not go behind the scenes at the Signal Iduna and walk in the same corridors as Marco Reus, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and Mario Gotze by going on a stadium tour. The tour lasts around 75 minutes and takes you into the press rooms, the hospitality areas and more importantly down to the changing rooms and next to the hallowed turf! For just €10 its perfect!

Football is at the centre of everything in Dortmund, so the major tourist attraction is is the Borusseum, a museum dedicated to the club and situated directly behind the stadium. Guided tours start at €6 with a €15 family ticket well worth the money. You can get a real idea of how important football, and BVB in particular, are to the city and the surrounding region.
To get away from the football, the Westfalenhallen is over the road. Here one can find international concerts and a rotating repertoire of philharmonic and opera performances as well as plenty of bars and restaurants.
