Grand Dock Canal and Lansdowne Road are considered the two hotspots for getting a drink in before any match. There are plenty of pubs and restaurants in both areas (conveniently located next to the Dart Line which runs right to the stadium!) so you’ve no shortage of options. It’s all good quality, proper Irish service which means good banter and great drinks. There are also chippies and shops so you can grab a bite to eat before heading inside.

There is a bit of a dearth of pubs and bars around the Aviva – with most fans choosing to drink in Dublin itself. And with all the pubs in Dublin, why wouldn’t you! The Temple Bar, The Bull and Castle and The Long Hall Victorian pub are all very popular pubs that have turned into tourist traps recently – so yes the atmosphere will be fantastic but be prepared to pay a bit more for your drinks.

Otherwise, closer to the ground you have The Chop House and The Bath Pub – both of these are very popular though so expect them to be absolutely packed on a match day! Get there early if you want a seat.
