There are a couple of hotels right by the stadium – the Hampton and the Murrayfield – which open their doors wide for fans during both league and international games. Both show live sports and serve food, so they have everything you need! If you’d rather head back into town, I’d recommend heading to the Grassmarket area: plenty of bars, really nice environment with live sports and music options!

Most people tend to do their drinking at the stadium before the game starts. There are two large marquees that sell beer behind the North and East stands and prove very popular indeed – you can even buy your beer here and take in inside!

If you want to have a drink or two before arriving at Murrayfield – The Murrayfield Hotel and The Hampton Hotel are right next to Murrayfield and thus prove exceptionally popular. In Edinburgh itself, there are several areas that are packed full with great bars and pubs! The Grassmarket area is very popular – especially Biddy Mulligans, The Last Drop and Three Sisters.

If you are in the mood for some live music Ghille Dhu is the place to be, and real Ale lovers gravitate toward The Queens Head on George Street.
