As with any Scottish venue, you can always get a steaming hot cup of Bovril at a Hearts game. Bovril is a hot, salty, meat-flavoured drink served in a plastic cup. Most fans would admit that the taste wasn’t anything special, but it a bit part of the Scottish matchday.

Otherwise there are pies, sausage rolls and burgers for around £3 each, which is what you’d expect from any reasonably well-known Scottish club.

Compared to the culinary capital that is most of Edinburgh – you may be slightly disappointed when you get to Tynecastle Stadium. The concourses are home to kiosks which sell all your traditional stadium food be it burgers, hot dogs or pies. Whilst the quality of the food is fairly average, the cheap prices make it bearable. A pie for example costs just £2.20 and a cup of tea £2! Hearts suffer unfortunately from Scotland’s ‘no alcohol in stadiums’ policy so if you fancy a drink be sure to head to the pub beforehand.
