Genoa is a classically Medieval city and is full of fantastic sights to see. Porta Soprana is home to the 12th Century gates, as well as the birth place of the legendary Christopher Columbus! The old town is a maze of small streets and alleyways where you can spend an afternoon getting lost, discovering coffee shops and hopefully stumbling across Perfumo di Rosa for some great Gelato.
Genoa is an amazing fishing port, and is also reputedly the home of Pesto – make sure to indulge yourself as much as possible!
