Celtic fans are fiercely passionate and loyal, which is usually a good thing. However, there’s also an underlying threat of violence from a number of fans, so if your team comes away with a win, don’t go antagonising anyone or you could find yourself in trouble.

In general though, the atmosphere generated by the fans is absolutely wicked. It’s a fully-enclosed stadium, so the noise is hugely amplified. It’s all about singing, chanting and making hella noise!

Celtic Park or ‘Paradise’ as it’s known to the Celtic faithful has long been recognised as having one of the best atmospheres in world football – even prompting Lionel Messi to say that Celtic Park has the best atmosphere is Europe. Celtic Park is home to the ‘Green Brigade’ a bunch of ultra-enthusiastic Celtic fans who will make themselves heard over the rest of the ground for 90 minutes and more – they always sit in section 111, so be aware of that before you go!

Wearing away colors shouldn’t be too much of a problem – there are already a tonne of clubs in Glasgow, but on big derby days it’s probably best not to go around down shouting and chanting as fights and confrontations have been known to happen.
