The most vocal supporters, Hamburg’s resident ultras occupy the North stand (Nordtribune) with a mix of standing and seated fans. The prices for these seats really aren’t too bad, considering that stature of the club. €16 for a standing ticket and €20 for a seat behind the goal. The away fans are placed opposite in the South West corner which gives great banter between the two sets of fans.
The best seats in the house are in the main East Stand, this is where you will also find the VIP boxes, as well as where the players come out from. Tickets here, on the half way line start at €55, but when the bigger teams could calling, you will be looking at well over €70.

The stadium was completely refurnished and modernized in 2005 for the FIFA World Championships in Germany in 2006. This is why it sets high standards regarding visibility and atmosphere. Tickets are between 16€ (stances) and 83€ (main stands, category 1, limited). However, you get decent seats for about 40€ and visibility will still be great. Keep in mind that the stadium fills up pretty quick, make sure you book your tickets way in advance if you want to secure any good seats.

Seating is generally excellent, befitting one of the most modern stadiums around. Bear in mind that it can be very steep towards the back of the upper tier, so if you struggle with heights then you might have a few issues, but in general the view is excellent. The lower tier behind the northern end is a standing terrace, where the ultras are to be found during HSV games. To go in with them – the most entertaining and cheapest option, though also the hardest ticket to get – will be always be 17€, whereas sitting goes from €20 for category C to absolutely anything ludicrous for big games.
