Ingolstadt is a big and wealthy enough city through the presence of Audi that there is a host of different cuisines and restaurants – something for everyone.

‘The Golden’ and ‘Goldener Drache’ may have similar names, and are both affordable places to eat at but the food that they serve couldn’t be any more different. ‘The Golden’ takes pride in serving arguably the best burgers in the city and ‘Goldener Drache’ is a place to go for a bit of spice – the Vietnamese and Thai cuisine offering a great alternative to heavy German food.

If you are celebrating a victory though – head to Schanzer Steakhouse and celebrate in style! It is worth booking a table, especially at the weekend, but if you do have to wait, you won’t be disappointed.

Only about 300m is a place called “Panda” if you want to go for some food before a match, they offer a decent asian kitchen, but nothing too fancy. If you want to have some good traditional German dishes you might want to visit “Bräustüberl Zur Südpfanne” on the main road “Manchinger Straße”, about 800 meters from the stadium. Good beer and traditional dishes from Bavaria – all you could hope for!

Ingolstadt is an overgrown village and the Audi Sportpark is on the outskirts of that, so the food options close to the stadium perhaps aren’t what they could be. Aside from the usual sausage stands, you can find a decent Chinese in the  form of Restaurant Panda on Scheelestraße, just a short walk from the stadium or a Thai just along Manchingerstraße. On the same street, there are kebab, pizza and burger joints too, plus a Subway and a Burger King.
