Things to check out around Estadio Municipal de Riazor?

You have to go visit the Tower of Hercules. It is the oldest Roman lighthouse still standing at nearly 1,900 years old! A truly incredible sight, and a real testament to man’s ability to create. There is information displayed all around the site, so you can learn all about its rich history – the views from the tower are also superb, and on a clear day you can see for miles and miles around! It costs €3 to get in, and it’s a fairly steep climb which you won’t regret.

Only few meters from the stadium you will find the beach. Follow the path and you will get to the city center. The walk will take about 30 minutes, but you will enjoy the views! Plaza de Maria Pita is the main square in the city. Here you will see a woman statue. She is Maria Pita, very popular heroine in the history of La Coruna. Go to Torre de Hércules and visit the oldest lighthouse. The area where it is located is amazing!
