Let’s go to the beach, each. Let’s go get a wave…

Seriously though, La Playa de las Canteras is a sublime beach of white sand, stretching for a long way down the coast. The water is blue, the sun is hot – this is pretty much Northern Africa remember! Whether it’s relaxing with a cold beer or cocktail (oh yes, there are plenty of bars in the area selling drinks!), reading your book or just being idiots with your pals, it’s a great place to be. Remember your suncream!

The stadium is a bit far from the city centre, but you should go there. Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is a sunny, friendly and coastal city. Something great is the fact you can go almost the whole year to the beach, because the average temperature is about 20º. Las Canteras is the most popular and crowded beach here. If you like the history don’t miss Casa de Colón, one of the main attractions in the city.
