If you come for the whole long weekend, then make sure you get trackside on Friday! The Friday is always a rest day for the drivers and the teams – and so the race organisers open up the pit lane to allow the spectators to get as close to the cars and garages as possible! Open from 10am to 8pm – it’s something to check out!

Also on the Friday, be sure to head down to Le Mans town in the evening and enjoy the festival atmosphere and a few beers as the drivers go on their open top car parade through the town – if you’re lucky you might even get an autograph!

There are also funfairs and concerts that go on at the circuit throughout the weekend – be sure to hop on the Ferris Wheel, it provides great photo opportunities!

There is the 24 hours of Le Mans Museum where you can learn about the history, discover 125 epic cars and check out some videos of the best races and development of this sport. There is a beautiful cathedral near by and of course, you can go take a look on the track even if there is no race. If you are lucky, you will be able to see people driving around and practicing.
