How do I get to Red Bull Arena?

If you want to come by car to the stadium, you should be aware that the parking at the ground is strictly for VIP and hospitality guests only. There are a few car parks in the general vicinity of the ground – though they are all a bit of a walk away.

The most convenient way of getting to the stadium is by public transportation. Outside Leipzig’s main train station, you can take the tram – either number 3, 7 or 15. Take any of these and ride it to Sportforum station which is less than 500 metres away from the stadium.

For away fans who are visiting there is a special shuttle bus that will take you from the main station and take you to the away fans entrance!

Car: There are plenty of Park and Ride (P+R) possibilities in Leipzig that make it very convenient to get to a match and leave the city without any bad traffic. The most viable options are “P+R Schönauer Ring”, “P+R agra” and “P+R Leipziger Messe”. All these parking lots are linked to the tram lines 3, 7 or 15 that will get you right to the arena.

Tram: Lines 3, 7, 8 and 15 are operating every match day and will get you right in front of the stadium. Simply exit the tram at either one of the stations “Waldplatz/Arena” or “Sportforum”. Once you hopped off you can already see the venue.

Train: If you’re visiting via train you will end up at Leipzig Central Station. From there take one of the tram lines 3, 7, or 15 and get off at the exact same stations shown above.
