The Georgie Porgy café is one of the local favorites for a pre or post match meal for the Liverpool FC fan! It offers eat-in and takeaway options and as it is less than 5 minutes away from Anfield it is easy to get too (especially if you have had a few beers too many at the match!). There can be long lines on match day afterwards and booking isn’t an option but all food is freshly cooked and you are served quickly.
You can order a range of wraps, jacket potatoes, cold or hot drinks, burgers, sandwiches and salads. If you go up in the morning you should definitely get breakfast here! Price wise it is really reasonable and you are looking at £5 for a burger and chips meal.

Since Anfield is only 2 miles from the city centre, you’ll be up to your ears in bars and restaurants! The stadium has its own 230-seater restaurant called The Boot Room which is built for sports fans: TVs with live action all the time, club memorabilia and even kids activities so you can enjoy your meal in peace.
A fan-favourite back in town is the Georgie Porgy; if you don’t understand why it’s called that, I’m sure you will within moments of arriving! It’s cheap, tasty and super convenient either before or after a game.

The area around Anfield is mainly residential and there aren’t many restaurants to be found. There are plenty of fast food vans and hole in the wall style takeaways and cafes such as the ever popular Sing Fong, a Chinese style chip shop and ‘Homebaked’ bakery. A small 5 minute walk from the stadium is the ‘Everpool Diner’, an american style Diner catering to both Liverpool and Everton fans alike. Anfield is very close to Liverpool’s bustling city center so if you are looking for more of a sit down dining experience, you can find anything and everything in this bustling city.
