While the area surrounding Craven Cottage is fairly residential it does mean it is a little further to walk to get to a decent restaurant. That being said there is Fishers Fish & Chips only a 15 minute walk from the stadium and serves traditional British Fish and Chips restaurant style, plus you can make reservations and sit outside along the waterfront on warm days.
For something a little lighter, The Drawing Room Café situated 15-20 minutes away from the stadium in Fulham palace offers snacks, tea and refreshments in a stunning setting with great views. It is not as well known among tourists either so on wetter days or poorer weather it can be quite empty and peaceful.
Alternatively, if you are looking for an evening restaurant to transition from day to night, you could make a reservation at the popular Italian/Mediterranean restaurant “Luna Nuova” which is particularly preferred by large groups post-football. With a great atmosphere, service and delicious food and cuisine, it also offers gluten free options for those with intolerances and does not have long wait times in busy periods thanks to the excellent service.
The further into London or back towards Putney station the more options you have for takeaway or restaurants in the area so you could also consider waiting to get back for something more substantial.

Craven Cottage’s location in Central London means that you can have the luxury of eating almost anywhere in the city and still be within a short tube ride to the stadium itself. However, as Fulham is almost a small town in its own right, it has a high street with plenty of eating options. Pappa Ciccia is a highly rated Italian, specializing in home-made pizza and pastas, made even more popular by allowing you to bring your own drinks. Fishers is an ever popular Fish and Chip shop, where you can eat in, or take away and enjoy whilst soaking up the atmosphere on your way to the ground. The Eight Bells pub also offers traditional pub food and drinks for those wanting something a little more homey.

Nothing says matchday like traditional, British fish and chips. Fishers is a top-quality restaurant just up the road from the Cottage, serving fresh and delicious British food. If you’re feeling more exotic (or had fish and chips for lunch!) then spend a few minutes on the tube to central London: you will have more options than you can imagine!
