What to expect from the Select Security Stadium crowd?

The crowds for all the teams matches are very family friendly and as such the atmosphere will be unlike typical football ground atmospheres. Rugby League and ladies football are unfortunately no where near as popular as the men’s game and as such the ground can suffer from a lot of empty seats which impacts the atmosphere.

Everton Ladies especially are trying to counter this, by offering select games free for everyone to encourage attendance.

There are two halves to this one. The stadium is used for women’s football (Everton and Liverpool) and Rugby League; since League is less popular than Union and women’s football much less popular than men’s, the attendance is usually found wanting. Those who do attend have a great time, make some noise and there is a very friendly vibe; just don’t go expecting a Twickenham-level atmosphere or you’ll be disappointed!
