By far and away the most popular food and drink at The All England Club are the famous strawberries and cream with a glass of champagne, this has become synonymous with Wimbledon, but there are lots more options if you want something more substantial.

For a more informal setting, diners should go the Aorangi Food Court and Cafe; set up in a self serve style setting, there are pizzas, salads and sandwiches, perfect for a light lunch! The All England Club also offers pre-made picnic baskets that are very popular, putting the best of a British Afternoon Tea into a hamper to enjoy on the grassy grounds.

For something more substantial, diners will enjoy ‘The Baseline’ and ‘Conservatory Kitchen’ – both proud to serve the best of traditional British food in an elevated fashion.

There are of course many bars and you can find beer, champagne and Pimms!

There is a wide array of food and drink at the All England Lawn Tennis Club so you won’t be disappointed. There are 4 restaurants on site; The Wingfield Restaurant (for luncheon and afternoon tea), The Grill (American style classics, including lobster and crayfish rolls), Roast (Britain’s finest farm food such as chicken salads, potatoes and other produce and meat) and the Lavazza Coffee Shop which offers coffee and light snacks and in all of these, booking is highly recommended.

Alternatively there are self-service restaurants such as Café Pergola and Conservatory Kitchen, cafes and bars such as The Baseline, The Long Bar, Court Buffer, Robinsons Café, Champagne Bar, Lawn Buffet and the Tea Lawn. There is also a bakery, village bar, court refreshments and terrace for anything light and easy and you can also pre-order yourself an afternoon picnic for two from the restaurant for £40 for the day so you don’t have to pack yourself a lunch.

You can take your own alcohol into the grounds but they have limits of two (500ml) cans of beer OR one bottle of wine per person and if you chose to buy alcohol on site you should always take your ID. It is important to note that food, drink and glass cannot be taken onto the show courts so make sure you consume them before taking your seat.

If you’re visiting away from any big tournaments, there aren’t really any food options at the tennis club itself; there’s just lots of private members enjoying themselves! However, if you’re there during Wimbledon, or any other big event, there’s the Wingfield restaurant, the Baseline Diner and the Conservatory Kitchen. They all serve delicious (if expensive) food and drink, so it’s not like eating at a football game! There are food courts and easier, ‘take-away’ style options too.
