One of the best kept secrets at the club is The Ice Cream Parlour which make hand scooped ice cream which is delicious and definitely worth a try in the summer and you will find it in the food village near No.1 Court.

You can buy tickets on the day! Unlike virtually every sporting venue in the world these days, the Lawn Tennis Club sells tickets on site the day of the venue. If you get there early enough (and I mean very early) then you can get stadium tickets right up to the end of the tournament. Going early also means you’ll have a more pleasant journey, since peak time on the tube isn’t very spacious!

A lot of tickets are given out by ballot – so when one tournament ends, register as soon as you can to get a chance for great tickets for next year!

Unless you are lucky enough to sit inside the Royal Box, there isn’t a dress code as such – but it might be good to remember a sun hat. Wimbledon can get very hot in the summer, and sitting down watching a tennis match for 2 hours in the sun could be hard without one!

Watch out for Rufus the Hawk as well, he’s there to scare away the pigeons!
