Enter Stadium Way off Riverside Drive near the 5 overpass. Take the first left in the park, Angels Point Road, which will take you up the hill to a killer view of downtown. The winding road, which becomes Elysian Park Drive before returning to Angels Point Rd., may seem harrowing but stay to your left as you come up and over the 5. Turn right onto Solano Canyon Drive and take the road right into the Academy Gate, bypassing all the stadium traffic.

Traffic is as to be expected..Bad. The stadium gates open to the public 2 hours before the start of every game, so why not go in, watch your home team finish up batting practice and maybe grab an autograph or 3.
