What isn’t there to eat?! You’ve got pies for £2.90, tiny pizzas for £3 and burgers or hot dogs at around £3.50. What more could you want? There’s also the somewhat mysterious “parmo in a bun”, a sort-of Middlesbrough classic made from cheese sauce and chicken with breadcrumbs. It’s £4.20, so decide carefully whether or not you want to experiment!

The drinks are pretty standard, with Fosters, John Smiths and Bulmers cider available, with a few small bottles of wine for the classy fellows.

Compared to other grounds – food at the stadium is something that the Riverside does very well indeed. Of course there are the usual suspects of pies for £2.90, burgers for £3.40 and hotdogs for 10p more at £3.50.

But you can get them almost anywhere, so why not go for a little pizza for the little price of £3. Though in my opinion you have to go for the £4.20 ‘Parmo in a bun’. Don’t worry, its nothing odd – just a Chicken Parmesan with extra cheese in a bun – something a little different and very tasty.
