The Target Center is home to the Minnesota Timberwolves of the National Basketball Association and the Minnesota Lynx of the Women’s NBA and is located in downtown Minneapolis/St. Paul. The stadium was built in 1990 when they were an expansion team and then remodeled with new seats, more luxury boxes, and new parquet floor in 2004. The basketball here has been less than par over the years and the Center has been more successful with concerts, ice hockey events, and NCAA games than with their NBA team. With a couple of #1 draft picks, hopes are high that they can become a perennial power in the NBA.
