How do I get to Borussia Park?
1 answer
With there being no real train service to the ground, the club have put on a series of buses, that are al free for ticket holders to use! Just outside the main Mönchengladbach station, you can get on board the special match day service, Bus 017 and the journey won’t be longer than 15mins.
Otherwise on the other side of the station, you can take shuttle buses to the stadium. Starting 3 hours before kick off to 2 hours after the final whistle – they offer a great and free alternative to taxis!
There are parking places at the ground itself, but remember to park on the north side of the stadium as the South side parking spots are for VIP and Hospitality guests.

Car: This stadium has probably one of the best parking systems and solutions of the entire country. There are approximately 10,000 parking spots available. The parking lots themselves are easy to find. Exit the highway A61 at “Nordpark” and follow the signs towards “Nordpark / Stadium”. The stadium will be easy to spot from far away. Parking is 5€.
There are three bus lines operating on every match day. The three venues where you will be picked up are called “Hauptbahnhof Rheydt / Mittelstraße” (Central Station), “Künkelstraße” and “Busbahnhof Wehberg”. They buses start operatin three hours before the game starts and go every five minutes. Rides are free for everyone holding a valid football ticket.

Gladbach, if we’re being honest, is a bit of an outpost with no reason to visit outside of the football club. Thus, getting to the stadium is a bit of an issue. Cars are well accommodated, of course, but for those coming by public transport, you’ll need to go to the main station or the Europaplatz and then get the bus with everyone else. Give yourself plenty of time as the buses will certainly fill up.
