What to expect from the Borussia Park crowd?

After falling into the Budesliga 2 in 2008, the club have rebounded and gone from strength to strength in recent years, eventually working themselves into European contention and into a major player in the Bunesliga. This success has been rewarded with a great atmosphere within the stadium as fans are fully appreciating the journey that they are on.
The fact that the away fans and the most vocal home supporters are found opposite each other makes for some really good banter going back and forth!

Gladbach is hardly a jumping hotspot, but the football team is at the very centre of everything in the city and the locals are crazy about them. That means one of the best atmospheres in Germany, with constant noise and support, particularly from the Nordkurve. The top boys there are Sottocultura, the ultras, who are known all over Europe. If you can get in with them on the standing terrace then consider yourself lucky.

Football is actually what made the town in the mid-west of Germany popular. They’ve always had a great team back in the days which accounts for a long tradition and history of the “Fohlenelf” as they are called in Germany. Therefore, the fan base is huge. Gladbach is also a pretty liked and popular club with fans all over Germany due to their friendly and enthusiastic fan base. Team colors are black and white, and the team actually never really fails to deliver entertaining games. Fans will always stand behind their beloved club.
