Montreal is a nightmare when it comes to traffic congestion and frequent never ending construction. Using public transportation is highly recommended. There is no dedicated parking so finding a spot is a royal pain and expensive. Public Transit is definitely the way to go. Once you arrive, everything you could want in as far as the arena, bars, restaurants, tourist activities – it’s all within walking distance (0 – 20 minutes.)

Arriving early is another tip – not only for the ease of entry into the facility but there is a huge pre-game buildup of sight and sound and fans that you don’t want to miss.
Another recommendation is that you take the time to stay overnight and take in the sights and sounds of this historic area. There is plenty to do and a lot to see and totally a worthwhile experience.
