Without a doubt the focal point of Nancy itself has to be the UNESCO World Heritage site of Place Stanislas. Built in the 18th Century by the last Duke of Lorraine – the grandeur has arguably improved with time. As well as being startling to look at, the area is home to some on Nancy’s more cultural places such as the Opera House and the Fine Arts Museum.

If you appreciate the ‘Art-Noveau’ movement, you will be happy to know that Nancy was at the fore of the culture and the Ecole de Nancy and is a fantastic museum to the period.

For those looking for a more modern way to entertain yourselves – why not have a go at the Escape Room Nancy. Luckily enough, the hints in this escape room are in French and English so make it a little easier.

Being in the suburb of the city, the stadium Marcel Picot is not surrounded by any other attraction. However, the city center is easily reachable in less than half an hour, so you might truly appreciate a visit in the heart of the city. Be sure not to skip the shiny Stanislas square, also known as Place Stan’ which is the most beautiful place in Nancy with its traditional architecture, punctuated with gold.
