Best restaurants near Madison Square Garden ?

Pennsylvania 6, 132 W 31st St, offers up an extensive collection of craft drafts and bottles, plus legitimately good food like beer-braised short ribs. And with giant projection screens, it’s just like a regular sports bar but, like, times six!!

I like to take a different approach. The chelsea market area or greenwich village is 10 minutes away on the subway. You can easily get a feed in those spots before a game then head up on the train. You have a lot more better choices in those areas, compared to around the garden…

We grabbed a beer at the Pennsy before the game and ate a lobster roll from the food options next to it. Cheap Bud Lights at $6 a beer and plenty of nice food options. Best thing is you are 5 seconds from entering the Garden.

Plenty of places nearby for good food. Pennsy and Hooters are good options for snacks before a game but plenty of restaurants between MSG and Times Square also just depends how far you want to walk. I went to Red Lobster near Times Square after a Rangers game and it was tasty.
