City Ground, Trentside N, West Bridgford, Nottingham NG2 5FJ, UK

Long since fallen from the giddy heights of back-to-back European Cup trophies, there’s an air of clinging to past success at City Ground. That’s possibly got something to do with its size: over 30,000 seats and sitting bottom of the Championship makes it pretty hard to generate a good atmosphere. That might explain the occasional bouts of aggression from home fans. However, we’re not here to give City Ground a bad rep- on its day, it’s a great venue with a roaring crowd and plenty of singing. Being 120 years old, it is in remarkably good condition and you can’t complain about the facilities!

Nestled on the banks on the Trent; Forest is a grand old club, stepped in history. Once they were the kings of Europe, winning the equivalent of the Champions League, twice. The fans at Nottingham Forest are known to be a little zealous in their support and nasty atmospheres have been known to occur. However, it is still a great ground to visit with all the family – why not head into town afterward and have a drink at the oldest pub in England!
