The first thing you need to do is head back up towards the city! Pamplona cathedral is a stunning work of architectural brilliance in the heart of the city, and you can get guided tours with exceptionally knowledgeable locals. If you really want to enhance the experience, there are “tour and tapas” packages which include food at the best local tapas spots!

By night, you could do worse than simply walking through the Plaza del Castillo and the Town Hall, which is strikingly illuminated in white light against the dark sky. Really cool, safe city.

Since the stadium is situated quite far from the city centre, the best way is to take a bus to go there. Pamplona is very famous because of Sanfermines, a crazy party with bulls. It doesn’t matter if you don’t go on these days, you can enjoy a walk on Estafeta street (the main street during this festivity). Try to go with an empty stomach because you will see nice bars like Café Gaucho or Bar Txoko, both full of “pintxos”. Be ready to eat a lot and drink the tasty “clarete” wine!
