There is definitely traffic on game night. I’ve experienced driving in it, and it’s not a blast, but it’s not the worst. As far as travelling to the Moda Center, you have plenty of options if you don’t want to stress about traffic: bike and park/lock-up in the bike parking section (follow the signs); bus or shuttle in on the excellent TriMet transit system; or walk (very easy to do this from downtown via the pedestrian paths that cross the Willamette River.

Other stadiums I’ve had to deal with are way worst. Visiting New York stadium were hell. But after about an hour after a game it starts to flow. Traffic really isn’t that bad around this stadium if you can wait a little. Getting there on the other hand even if you leave early can be crazy. Traffic is slow.
