The stadium has some great bars really popular with the locals and the passionate fans that are really close to the stadium.
Drei 10 is a great bar that gets full quickly on a game day – and with a lot of TV’s front and centre in the bar – you can watch all the pre-match build up in style. Why not treat yourself to one of the Werder Bremen themed drinks!
Nearby is a typical German supporters bar – Taubenschlag. As you can imagine, the pub is very popular with fans and supporters, with Bremen themed memorabilia lining the walls and a lot of beer being drunk!
If you want something a bit more familiar, there is of course an Irish Bar in the centre of town –Both Hegarty’s Irish Pub and Paddy’s Pit are popular with expats and locals as well!

If you are looking for some action before the match, you will most likely encounter numerous fans around Hamburger Straße, a street only about 300m from the stadium. This is where the fans meet and where you can have some beers before a home game. To name a few, there is “Taubenschlag” (400m from the Weserstadion, probably the best one to encounter local fans), “Haifischbecken” (700m) or “Hopfen & Schmalz” (450m). They all offer pub atmosphere, live Bundesliga broadcasts and, of course, ice cold beers.

Bremen is one Germany’s great beer cities, and there are a fair few of those. Beck’s is made here and exported around the world, but seen as it’s available everywhere, try Haake-Beck, it’s older and all the locals prefer it. Even better, head to Union Shop & Bar for a craft beer selection within sight of the stadium – they make their own and sell it from an onsite shop, as well as serving it in their bar.
There are a few known Werder pubs, too, including Wirtshaus on Hamburger Straße, the self-described “traditional meeting place” of Werder Bremen fans. If they’re full, then Taubenschlag along the street, which is also very popular locally.
