The government in Basque past a law a few years ago which decreed that the consumption of alcohol and tobacco in public spaces and venues is expressly forbidden. You can actually receive a fine of up to several hundred thousand euros for breaking that law. Most fans make use of the local bars and restaurants to have a pre-match drink before the game. Food is available inside the stadium, though common to all football stadiums, it is substandard and overpriced.

The stadium hosts a new cool bar and restaurant called La Campa de Los Ingleses. It opened in 2016 and now is one big attraction for football and food lovers. Here you can order traditional “pintxos” and huge selection of homemade food. If you are planning to go on weekend, you should book a table. Could you imagine to enjoy delicious food and at the same time to see great views of the stadium? It is possible!
