You wouldn’t necessarily expect Cologne to have some incredible Korean food, but you may be glad to know that it does. Bulgogi Haus is one of the top restaurants in town and offers up some amazing dishes – cooked all in front of you, traditional style.
If you are after something a little bit different then book a table at Shaka Zulu! This place is always packed out and it’s easy to see why. They cook the best of African food and present it to you with a choice of 3, 6 or 9 dishes from the menu. Think African style tapas!
However, when in Cologne you should try traditional German food at least once, and Lommerzheim is the perfect place. One of the best German places in town – it serves up great food at reasonable prices!

Regarding quick food options there is “Subway” (sandwiches) and “Vapiano” (Italian kitchen) which are really close to the stadium. If you are more looking for a nice dinner after a potential match or show event head for “Restaurant Diana”. A small and quiet Italian place with great food and a really nice atmosphere and ambiance and only about 400m from the stadium. For German food I, once again, highly recommend “Lommerzheim”, 600m from Lanxess Arena, with their self-brewed beer and amazing, traditional dishes.

Eating options around the Lanxess Arena are plentiful, but can be a little on the dear side. The area is close to the Messe, home to huge international trade fairs, so you can expect to pay the sort of premium prices that businessmen with expense accounts would pay. That said, Restaurant Henkelmännchen, attached to the arena, is superb for convenient, good food and Latino Cubana, on the other side of the train station, serves excellent Mexican and South American cuisine.
