How do I get to John Smith's Stadium?
1 answer
I’d just walk it from the stadium: takes 15 minutes if you’re dawdling, so it’s quicker than getting to most big sports venues. If it’s absolutely lashing down, a taxi will get you there in a jiffy and only cost a few pounds.
By car, there’s ample parking at the ground, though it does fill up pretty sharpish. It also costs £6, so if you want to save a few pennies, there are private car parks en route along St Andrews Road at half the price.

Huddersfield Station is only a 15 minute walk to John Smiths Stadium itself – if you don’t fancy the walk, there are plenty of regular buses that run along Leeds Road that drop you off right at the ground!
The stadium offers parking for £6, but there are plenty of local businesses that will offer parking for around £4-5 pounds. Or if you want to park for free, try parking in the Lidl or the Iceland supermarkets that you will pass on your way to the ground.
