Lots of visitors to the area enjoy spending time peacefully in one of two places: the Parque de Polvoranca or visiting the Iglesia San Salvador. The park is stunning, with plenty of trees, wildlife and expanses of water. You can take the kids to feed the ducks and fish, visit the local ruins and simply enjoy walks in the fresh air with a picnic. The church is quite well known and constitutes a superb architectural achievement. Certainly suitable for those who do not practice the faith, it’s a point of pride for the people of Leganes.

The stadium is located in Leganés, a big not touristic town in the south of Madrid. If you are in a good mood, you can take a train and go to Madrid. It will take you about 20 minutes. There is also a nice place to visit not far from Leganés (10 minutes by car) called Cerro de Los Ángeles. It is a famous hill located in Getafe with an old monastery and a monument to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. It is an impressive place with great views!
