There isn’t really anything separating the home and away crowds, which is a bit odd in English football. It’s usually no bother, but some fans would feel more comfortable with a more substantial divider, just in case things got ugly. The seats themselves are great: pretty comfy and enough leg room that extra time is survivable! Some away tickets can go for over £30, which is crazy since the Premier League is capped at £30 each! Anyway, I digress: the seating is very good.

With Villa Park constantly being refurbished, there generally isn’t a bad seat in the house. If it’s a noisy match day experience that you’re after, look no further than the Holte End, where the fans will be bouncing for 90 minutes and beyond. For Category A matches – a ticket here will cost you a maximum of £35.

For a view of the whole pitch, then a half way line seat will cost you a similar £35. The tickets are expensive, especially for a Championship side, but with a big club like Villa going down, they will have lost millions of pounds and need to keep the money coming in somehow.
