The crowd at Burnley has been the source of some controversy over the years. While their reputation may be exaggerated, many travelling fans warn that you should be sensible travelling to/from the game. That, however, kind of goes for any football match.
The crowd are usually very up for it, looking for a close match with some quality attacking football. Fans tend to mix well in the pub before the game, so you shouldn’t have to expect any trouble wearing your kit before kick-off.

The atmosphere in Turf Moor is usually a good one, the cheap drinks probably help with that – and with most pubs allowing home and away fans in the same establishments, the air is normally a friendly one, albeit competitive.
There have been reports though of trouble between locals and visiting fans in the center of town itself. Just be sensible and careful especially after dicey matches and you should be fine.
