Stade Rennais fans are among the most vocal and passionate in the country – so it makes sense that there would be ample bars for them to wet their whistle at before kickoff!

Le Stendahl is a wonderful old bar – where the owner, who knows all there is to know about Stade Rennais still lives! The walls are decorated with pictures of past and present teams – including the famous cup winning side of 1965!

Le Stade is another wonderfully Breton bar and makes no secret that it is a place for sports enthusiasts. Magazine articles from France’s sports ‘bible’ L’Equipe plaster the wall as well as a strange though impressive collection of sardine cans!

If you are on a pub crawl to the stadium, then equally as unmissable has to be the Football Bar. It’s collection of memorabilia consists of two enormous glass cases – one with a picture history of the Breton club and the other filled with scarfs left by visiting teams and supporters!

Chez Marco is a typical sportive bar where you can drink a beer or two in a friendly atmosphere. Owners are very nice and it is usual for costumers to drink and sing together before, during and after the match. Le Valy is another club where you can enjoy the match evenings, combining a restaurant and a pub under one roof.
