Best Pubs around New York Stadium?

The New York is just a few minutes’ walk from town, so there’s pubs galore! It’s also a small-time club, so the aggressive “get out of our pub” attitude isn’t as prevalent here as with bigger clubs. There’s no fewer than three Wetherspoons’ in Rotherham, and they do permit away fans as a rule. Other options include the New York Tavern and Cutlers Arms just off the main street, on Westgate, which are friendly towards away fans and sell delicious beer!

The New York Stadium is slap bang in the middle of town – so there are plenty of options for fans to get a few drinks in before the game.

The Bridge Inn is right next to the station – and if that doesn’t persuade you, it is a CAMRA listed pub and serves a lot of its own locally brewed beers which are fantastic!

Round the corner from the station is the ever popular Rhinoceros, a Wetherspoons pub which is always popular on a match day – cheap food and drinks, it really has all you need.

A little more of a walk from the station, but still very near the stadium itself, you will find The Cutlers Arms and The Bluecoat – both away friendly, and serving real ales as well as the usual suspects.
